Review: Revlon ColorStay Foundation 24hrs

Hello again!

I'm back with another review, I decided to give a review on the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation for oily/combination skin. So this isn't a new product but I only bought this foundation a couple of months ago because I tended to stick with the same things but as Im getting older I am getting more adventurous and starting to play around with different makeup brands.Which is good because trying out more makeup brands and more products means I can write lots of reviews for you lovely people and you might just discover a product or brand that you never thought of trying :)

I chose the shade 110 Ivory which is the lightest shade and it was a perfect match! Which is great because my biggest problem with other foundations is that I can never find the right shade as they are either too orange looking or just too dark for my pale skin so I was really pleased about that.

I am a very girly girl so I like when the packaging looks nice and I must say I really like how the product looks, the foundation is contained in a sturdy glass bottle with a black twist cap. I think it looks very sleek and sophisticated. The only thing I don't like about the bottle is it doesn't have a pump which can make the bottle really messy (I cleaned the outside of the bottle for the sake of the picture) and not only that but it wastes a lot of product as you have less control of how much pours out onto the hand. I think its a bit more on the expensive side for high street products (£12.49 from superdrug) so I think it should at least come with a pump.

Now to the actual foundation and application!

The consistency is creamy and a little bit thick but still lightweight enough to slide down your hand. It has a paint like smell to it but it doesn't really bother me because you cant smell it when it goes on your face. It has great coverage for imperfections, the coverage is so good that when I wear this foundation I don't use under eye concealer and I never thought that would happen as I have always used concealer for my under eyes.

I apply the foundation with a beauty blender and it gives a nice flawless finish not cakey looking at all. I would say that it gives a little bit of a dewy fresh finish but not shiny. I do apply a translucent setting powder in the morning but this foundation really does a good job of controlling my oily T zone area as I would have to normally reapply the powder 2-3 times during the day because I look like an oily mess with blotches but with this foundation I don't have to reapply the powder during the day and it doesn't look shiny nor does it go blotchy :) The only down side to the application of Revlon ColorStay Foundation is that it does dry quickly so its better to do small amounts and not just apply it to the whole face as it wont blend.

I think the quality is very good for a high street brand, its my best foundation so far and worth the money.

I rate the Revlon ColorStay Foundation a 4/5

Have you tried Revlon ColorStay Foundation? What do you think? Do you agree or disagree?

Hope this review helped, please comment below and take care :)
